About the Position

 

Responsible for overseeing the operations of the facility. The Director must ensure that the medical office is running smoothly and efficiently. The person in this capacity is expected to constantly look for ways to save the practice money by running more efficiently and reducing operating costs. The Director must develop and implement processes and procedures for the operation of the clinic.

  • Mon - Fri: 8am - 5pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Leading the non-physician staff by setting a can-do example and creating a positive working environment
  • Supervising all office staff/departments such as the front office, the medical assistants, the nurses, and the imaging department.
  • Providing staffing and human resources functions as well as ensuring superior customer service
  • The Director must be knowledgeable in all aspects of medical office operations including new patient registration, check in and checkout processes, collections, charge posting, pre-certification and financial assessments, appointment scheduling, medical records maintenance, and supply management (both medical and office supplies).
  • Ensuring maintenance and cleanliness of the facility
  • Developing data driven approaches to solutions to workflow, policies, procedures and strategic planning
  • Overseeing all aspects of the patient experience from initial contact to supporting ongoing care-giving relationships; ensuring patient satisfaction and handling operational problems as they arise

EDUCATION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • MBA/MHA is preferred or Bachelor’s with 5+ years of experience
  • Degree in Healthcare/Business Administration, Finance, Nursing or another related field
  • Demonstrated track record in developing and instituting quality assurance/improvement plans
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to evaluate workflow and systems, identify opportunities for improvement and develop, implement and monitor action plans
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Experience with electronic scheduling, billing and medical record systems

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Proficient in written and verbal English
  • Bilingual is a plus
