About the Position

The Float Front Office Trainer will be floating to diffrent office locations. The Locations are Pearland, Southeast, Sugarland and Medical Center. The Front Office is integral in the smooth operation of the practice. They greet patients, administer patient registration and verify patient insurance benefits, schedule and confirm patient appointments, collect co-pays, answer incoming calls and provide superior patient relations.

Shift Schedule:

  • Mon - Fri: 8am - 5pm
  • Mon - Fri 9am - 6pm

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new front office assistant hires 

  • Evaluate trainee performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement. 

  • Assesses the learner's mastery of new skills and provides related feedback to supervisor.  

  • Routinely review the course content and submit revisions with end user feedback in mind. 

  • Confer with management, conduct surveys, develop testing and evaluation procedures to identify training needs 

  • Plan, develop, organize and provide training manuals, development programs, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops. 

  • Participate in the development of the training budget for department. 

  • Complete train the trainer certification process as required 

  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. 

  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time. 

  • Complete weekly training status reports 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and to conduct engaging and effective training to front office assistant 

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment 

  • Ability to learn new software, processes, and procedures quickly 

  • Superior customer service 

  • Superior organization and time management 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 

  • Ability to motivate, develop, and instruct people 

  • Use logical reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses, finding alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.  

  • Professional attitude and demeanor is a must, excellent phone and communication skills are required. 

Education/Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 

  • 1+ Yrs Previous training experience in the healthcare field required. 

  • Experience with healthcare applications; including practice management and/or electronic health records preferred
